Norwegian Cinnamon Buns (re)visited

Trondheim, Norway

Bonjour readers!

For the past two weeks I was on vacation. Not that I was really absent
from this blog, thanks to the miracles of 'scheduled posting'. I was in Norway
enjoying the culture, the food, even warm weather, and taking A-mazing pictures
like the one above. "Should be a postcard"-amazing pictures.

Remember when I made these Norwegian Cinnamon Buns?

Norwegian Cinnamon Buns

Well, I can proudly say that they taste like real Norwegian cinnamon buns
because I've done my research! Again and again.

How about this scrumptious-looking bun I had in Bergen?

In Trondheim I fell in love with the dessert counter.

In case I forgot to mention, I sailed on an ocean liner to Norway,
where I spend most of my days reading cheesy romantic books ...

Norwegian Cinnamon Bun
(she's my namesake after all)

Overindulging in breakfasts like these ...

Golden Waffles

And enjoying high tea in all it's splendor ...

Maybe even getting a little TT ("too tipsy") on strawberry daiquiris.
Just kidding! Not really.

Sadly I caught a cold on the last day, so I won't be baking very much this week.
Which comes in handy with my fruit-detox (read: post-vacation diet) I'm following.

How was your summer?

Love,

Sounds like you had a fabulous summer. We did a little traveling thru the U.S. and as I told you earlier....cannot bake/cook all these wonderful things while on the Motor Home...but am going to try a few when I'm back home.

Beautiful photos! I've never heard of Norwegian cinnamon rolls, but they look great! I can't wait until my vacation. Unfortunately it's not until October. :( I'll have to live vicariously through your blog for now.
