Bonjour!   I'm Daniëlle and I am the author of this blog. During one lazy summer I decided to throw out my cake mixes and start baking from scratch. What happend was that I got completely obsessed with baking and soon I was making notes to all my recipes and taking pictures of the goods that I had baked to show to my friends and family.   On February 4th, 2009 I started a blog called Paris Pastry, at www.parispastry.blogspot.com. The response I got was overwhelming yet encouraging, and it has blossomed into the website that it is today. In June 2012, Paris Pastry became ParisLovesPastry.com.   Since 2009, Paris Loves Pastry has been named as one of the 'Top 40 French Cooking Blogs', #3 in the Pastry category by the Culinary Arts Colleges. Number 22 of the 'Top 30 French Food Blogs' by Feedspot. And has been featured in the cookbook Little Treats with my Lemon Butter Cookies.   I love to travel so most of the desserts showcased on Paris Loves Pastry are recreations from my foreign adventures.   A little bit more about me: I'm in my thirties and live in Maastricht, the Netherlands. I'm half Dutch, half African-American and I studied neuropsychology. Besides baking, I love to walk, travel, shop, laugh and drink wine. I am married and have a cat and a dog (a mini dachshund).   If you like to know even more about me, then follow me on Instagram!
