My Top 5 Halloween Recipes 2021

Every year I publish a collection of Halloween / Fall recipes that are my favorites and have made many, many times. This year I am narrowing it down to 5 recipes that should be on your must bake list!

1. Halloween Sugar Cookies

First off, the Halloween Sugar Cookies. How could a sugar cookie recipe not be part of this list?! They are so festive and pretty to look at. I love having these displayed in my kitchen. But then again, I love eating them even more!

2. Oreo Owl Cupcakes

Another "pretty" treat to look at, but even more delicious to eat are my Oreo Owl Cupcakes. They are so incredibly easy to decorate. Even a beginner could make these. You only need Oreos and chocolate M&M's or Smarties to make the faces. Such a crowd pleaser!

3. Maple Bundt Cake with Maple Cream

The Maple Bundt Cake is one of my favorite cake recipes - ever! And you can make endless variations of it: pound cake, any figure cake pan and it comes out looking and smelling fantastic. The maple cream frosting gives the maple flavor and extra boost.

4. Rustic Apple Tart

When people ask me "can you recommend a Dutch apple cake recipe?" - I always give them this recipe, the Rustic Apple Tart, as it is a classic Dutch apple cake. The flavors, the spices, the layers of apples all screams Dutch traditions. I've must have made this cake 30 times at least.

5. Devil's Food Cupcakes with Caramel Frosting

Granted, these are not a particular Halloween recipe other than the fact that I used Halloween cupcake liners and made these for Halloween one year, but it is such a fail-proof recipe and amazing caramel frosting recipe, that you really can't go wrong with these Devil's Food Cupcakes with Caramel Frosting.
