Pfew, it’s going to be so hard to choose between these three decadent desserts! Thankfully I don’t have to do it all alone, so with that, here are my three picks for this week:
Tres Leches Torte: Spanish for ‘three milk cake’. A very popular cake in Latin America that uses three kinds of milk: evaporated milk, condensed milk and whole milk. Served with a rum-fruit topping; delicioso!
Genoise Layer Cake: I’ve always loved the name of this Italian cake. A sponge layer cake with layers of pastry cream, rum syrup and a whipped cream frosting!
Chocolate Wine Cake: what’s not to love about this cake? A chocolate Bundt cake that uses red wine and black cherry gelatin as its main ingredients. Unsurprisingly it has many great reviews.
I wish I could make them all...
Au Revoir!
